We want your Michigan experience to be the best possible when you stay at the Lilley Mansion Bed and Breakfast. That’s why we want to make you aware of the policies of our B&B. The information below will help you know what to expect as you prepare for your stay. Please Note- All rooms must be guaranteed by credit card regardless of final method of payment.

Check in/out times

  • Check in times are between 3pm and 6pm. Please arrange prior to arrival check in times that differ.
  • Check out is at 12pm. Late check out may be available for a small fee should it be available.

Rates

  • We guarantee our lowest rates are published on our website. Accommodation rates may be higher for holiday weeks or special events. Quoted prices do not include a 6% Michigan lodging tax. For the lowest rates please refer directly to our online reservation system at www.LilleyMansion.com.
  • Discounts and Specials do not apply on Holidays unless otherwise stated.

Minimum Stays

A two night minimum stay on weekends is required from Memorial Day through Labor Day. A three night minimum stay may be required for some holidays/ special events. Our online reservation system will have the most up to date information regarding these dates and minimums.

Quiet Times

From 10pm-8am please be courteous of fellow guests and keep noise to a minimum.

Business Travelers

For business travelers with a business account registered in advance with us.
We understand flexibility is key to making our repeat business travelers feel at ease. We offer many benefits not listed on this website and would be happy to provide them to you. Please contact us directly for more detail. We are here to help.

Deposits

  • For regular reservations, a deposit of 1/2 your stay stay is required at booking. Specials and stays of 3 or more nights may require a larger deposit. Full payment for accommodations is expected upon arrival.

Cancelling a reservation

  • We require 10 days’ notice prior to arrival for a refund of the deposit.
  • Within 10 days a refund of 50% of the deposit will be received.
  • Any cancellation within 72 hours of the arrival date will result in the guest being held financially responsible for the entire stay.
  • Day of arrival cancellations, no shows, and early departures You will be held financially liable for the entire stay.
  • Changing dates within 10 days of your reserved dates falls within our cancellation policy and will adhere to the same policy as stated above.
  • Please Note- We cannot be responsible for unused nights due to late or canceled airline flights, family emergencies, threat of bad weather and other travel-related mishaps or for changes in plans which shorten your stay.
  • Cancellations made on the same day as expected arrival will not receive a refund or a credit.
  • Large groups, special events, and holidays may be subject to a fourteen (14) day cancellation policy. Please confirm prior to making reservations.
  • All reservations, unless stated above, must adhere to this policy.

Travel Insurance

Smoking

  • This historic wooden home has a strict no-smoking policy. Fire regulations and insurance mandate there be no smoking permitted indoors or on any of the connecting porches. Convenient smoking areas are provided immediately outside the residence. This policy of no smoking inside is strictly enforced with a $500 cleaning fee charged if you choose to light up inside.
  • If you Vape please do so outdoors only.

Breakfast/Coffee times

Coffee is available close to your room at 7:30 a.m daily. A full plated gourmet breakfast is served in the breakfast room each morning at 8:00 a.m. All meals are made from farm fresh, high quality, local ingredients. With prior notice special serving times and meals may be accommodated. Some optional meals include low carb, low fat, and vegetarian.

Children

This is an adult getaway therefore children under the age of 6 are generally discouraged. Please call ahead of time to double check availability. We will try to make exceptions but is not guaranteed.

Pets

We gladly welcome dogs under 25lbs. We have a limited number of pets allowed at any one time. Pets may not be left unattended in any guest suite at any time. Future guests may be allergic to pets so each room must be professionally cleaned to maintain them allergen free. There will be a $75 cleaning fee applied for guests bringing pets. This fee is applied on an ongoing weekly basis. Please contact us in advance if you plan to bring your furry friends.

  • Please Note, the pet fee includes our pet treat package. This includes doggy waste bags, doggy bed with blanket, Lilley Mansion pet tags, treats, and use of our pet food/water bowls.

Parking

The Lilley Mansion provides guest only parking in the rear of the property. During winter months the Village of Spring Lake regulates street parking. Overnight parking may result in a fine issued by the Ottowa County Sherifs Department. The Lilley Mansion is not responsable for parking regulations.

Damages or missing items

  • It is expected you leave your room in as good a condition as it was given to you. Any damage caused by you, your guests, or those affiliated to you to our home inside or out of your room such as (but not limited to) carpet stains, soiled furnishings or linens, broken windows or appliances will be replaced or cleaned and billed to you via the credit card you have on file.
  • Any missing room items will be billed to you on the credit card on file.

  • The Lilley Mansion uses cameras in public spaces and the exterior of the property to ensure a safe environment.

Release

By making a reservation you are accepting these policies, Guests agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the owners of The Lilley Mansion Bed and Breakfast, L.L.C. and its representatives from all claims, disputes, litigation, judgments, costs, and attorney fees resulting from loss, damage or injury to Guests and occupants, and licensees of Guests. Owner strongly recommends that Guests obtain and carry insurance to protect personal property.

Guests or their personal property, including vehicles, are not insured by the property owners against loss or damage due to fire, theft, vandalism, rain, water, criminal or negligent acts of others, or any other cause. Please read and understand our policies before making your reservation.
